HBO Canada Bringing ‘Game of Thrones’ to the Big Screen

Even wanted to watch Game of Thrones with a large group of people and watch the madness unfold? After Sunday’s (June 1) Red Viper vs. The Mountain episode, I don’t think it’s safe to watch Game of Thrones alone.

Well HBO Canada is giving fans the opportunity to let fans of the hugely successful series to congregate in one place to watch their favourite show.

HBO Canada are Cineplex are partnering together to air the season 4 finale of Game of Thrones in 29 participating Cineplex theatres across Canada. Tickets for the event will be $10 and will include admission to the event, a $10 concession voucher, a preview of upcoming programming and a draw for Game of Thrones prizing.

“GAME OF THRONES is unparalleled event television, so we are excited to offer the series’ die-hard fans an opportunity to come together to experience the season’s final episode,” said Jon Arklay, Senior Vice-President, Bell Media Agency, Brand, Creative and Marketing. “Our aim all season long has been to market GAME OF THRONES on the level of a massive theatrical release, so we are thrilled to partner with Cineplex to bring this cinematic, epic series to the big screen.”

The event will be broadcast across theatres on Sunday, June 15 at 9PM ET at the same time it would regularly air on TV.

    Have you looked at list posted by Cineplex. There isn’t a theatre WEST of Ontario showing the finale. But then what else is new.

    Shame that they aren’t doing this for episode 9 as well. As everyone knows, episode 9 is the climax episode – we have a huge battle coming up at Castle Black – that would be killer to see in theatres.

    Hello, I just came to say that there is no “Saint John’S, NB” it’s just “Saint John, NB”. There is a “Saint John’s NL”. :)
